We had the Fourth AIU Hill Climb Competition!
On Saturday, September 27, we held the fourth AIU Hill Climbing Competition on Tsubakidai Hill Road, which connects the AIU campus to the outside world.
Eight cyclists competed under the same rules as last time: i.e. the number of trips to be made back and forth on Tsubakidai Hill Road.

Here are the results:
Free Division | Winner | Aryan Mayor | 14 trips |
Senior Division (over 30 years old) | Winner | Yoji Natori | 12 trips |
Women’s Division | Winner | Azzy Morlier | 4 trips |

The fifth and sixth competitions will take place in May and October of next year. We look forward to having many students and faculty/staff participate.
Message from Prof. Tetsuya Toyoda, organizer of the competition:
It was exciting to watch Aryan Mayor complete 14 trips in just 15 minutes, missing the 15th by only a few seconds. I am also considering creating a new division, such as a mamachari bike division, to encourage non-sporty folks to participate in future competitions.
